"Irondequoit Republicans for John Perticone" Facebook group removed from Facebook

UPDATE 7/1/25: Facebook has restored this group after certain defaming posts were deleted.

A Facebook group called "Irondequoit Republicans for John Perticone" was setup this spring by an anonymous user and began a series of libelous and defamatory personal attacks on the Candidates and campaign volunteers. We are happy to announce that after an investigation by Facebook this group has been removed.

Anthony Costanza in comment stated, "there is no room for this type of false personal attack against any candidate, and certainly in our campaign we will not stoop to the level of ignorance of this Facebook group by making baseless and utterly false allegations not connected to issues that face Irondequoit residents. We will address issues, professional qualifications, management skills, and past professional experience and performance based on fact."

Costanza furthers, "I hope John Perticone does accept my invitation for a live public debate to discuss the many issues of the Town of Irondequoit government that bring so much concern to residents."

The Campaign thanks Facebook for investigating and removing the "Irondequoit Republicans for John Perticone" group from its site.
