On May 28th on the Town of Irondequoit Gazebo, John Perticone announced his candidacy on the Democratic ballot for Town of Irondequoit Supervisor stating, “I was acting supervisor for a while. I know what the commitment is, it’s a big commitment, but I’m ready to do it,” and furthered “It’s a 24/7 job, I know it is. To do it right, that’s what you have to do, work at it 7 days a week.” Irondequoit town board member announces candidacy for town supervisor - WHEC.com
We commend John's projection of confidence and hard work, despite his lackluster performance and "Iron Curtain" mentality for 17 years on the Town of Irondequoit Board. As Anthony Costanza commented "What great ideas has Perticone been waiting 17 years to implement? None. During his tenure, little progress has been made for the residents of Irondequoit. Instead, the town has become the highest-taxed municipality in Monroe County." WHEC_10_v2_5-28-25-final.pdf
The Candidates for a Better Irondequoit Government certainly is waiting in anticipation of John Perticone's decision on Anthony Costanza's invitation for a live public debate.
Incidentally, John Perticone made this campaign announcement utilizing Town of Irondequoit property and displaying campaign advertisements in violation of NYS General Municipal Law § 99-z and Town of Irondequoit Ordinance § 20-7 (ethics code). Moreover, this is violative of Federal Law under the Hatch Act which prohibits government employees from engaging in political activity while on duty, in the workplace, or using government property
